Commenius Regio Partnership – ‘Learning from the differences’
We have been fortunate to host 8 visitors from Poland including members of the Gryfino district council and teachers from Chonja. During the three day visit was spent visiting, County Hall, Connexions, Kingston Maurward, Tinneys Lane Youth Club, Rendezvous and The Gryphon. A trip to Bath was even squeezed in on the way to the airport! The visit is part of a two year programme where we are looking into the different ways which Poland and England manage inclusion in schools. Talks from students, Youth Leaders and teachers will act as a building block for future discussions. The partnership which was initially developed through the Sherborne Douzelage is flourishing and a photography exchange programme has been organised for the summer term where students will be exhibiting their work at The Gryphon Photography, Art and Design Exhibition.
