Pupil Premium

In 2011 the Government introduced a new funding stream for schools called the Pupil Premium. The Department for Education states that the Pupil Premium funding, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address the current inequalities by ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most. There is also a Service Premium funding for children whose parents are currently serving in our Armed Forces.
