Former student Charlie Rex visits Gryphon Sixth Form

A big thank you to former student Second Lieutenant Charlie Rex for coming in to visit us yesterday and talking to our Sixth Formers. Charlie graduated top of his Officer Training class at Sandhurst and received the Sword of Honour from HRH Prince Harry (now the Duke of Sussex).

He spoke to students about his journey from Preston School to The Gryphon Sixth Form, to Cardiff University and then Sandhurst, as well as what he has been up to since completing his training, including going to Jordan and training in the Brecon Beacons. He talked about the importance of extracurricular activities as well as qualifications throughout his A levels as well as his degree, which set him up well for his army training.
