Gryphon Sports Centre unveils new Fitness Suite

The Gryphon Sports Centre in Sherborne has unveiled its new Fitness Suite this week, with brand new app-enabled cardiovascular and resistance machines, a squat rack and free weights, as well as other equipment.

The Gryphon Sports Centre has partnered with Funkey Fitness Sports Management Ltd and the facility has been going from strength to strength, with more members than ever. The very latest Technogym Fitness equipment, alongside the extended coaching provision will cater for the increased members and allow for further future growth.

The sports centre is also introducing a revised membership scheme from July, with more offers available to the public. Annual memberships and corporate memberships will be brought in for the first time, as well as junior and couple memberships.

Centre Manager, Gary Knight said “We are committed to ensuring that The Gryphon Sports Centre caters for everyone in the community. We do not tie people into contracts, we offer flexible membership options – whether people want to use the fitness suite, attend our wide range of classes, or book courts or the astro pitch for team sports – we provide membership options focused on helping people improve or maintain their fitness in a way that suits them, with a coach-centred perspective to health and well-being”.

The Gryphon Sports Centre will also see additional investment this year when the astro pitch is upgraded, it will be of a standard certified by the FA, Hockey and Netball governing bodies, and will be available to hire from September 2019.

The Gryphon Sports Centre will be holding an Open Day event on Sunday 18th August 10am – 4pm, if any local businesses would like to have a stand on the day please get in touch:
