Community Hub

Working alongside Salisbury Diocesan Board of Education, Church leadership teams and the local council The Gryphon School has been working on the development of Sherborne Community hub.

Following a wide range of consultations and discussions with young people and local leaders a specific focus on Sherborne being a Young person friendly town, which meets the needs of all members of the community, has been introduced.

In May 2022, students from The Gryphon School and Sherborne Abbey Primary School will meet in Sherborne Abbey to begin bringing the community hub project to life. The local Mayor and Rector Reverend Martin Lee will be there to listen and support the discussions of young people. The student leadership group will then be meeting to share the plans and goals with Sherborne Primary School and Harbour Vale School along with reporting to the town council and other local agencies.

Through this project church and school leaders are working together to better connect with and meet the needs of children and young people in Sherborne.
