Year 6 Transition 2020

As part of the transition process you should have received a pack of information from the school and we will continue to post out letters and support materials.

On this page we will add links to the presentations which we would have given at the parents meeting in June as well as copies of letters and any updates regarding transition.

If you have been offered a place at the school and have not received the induction pack, or if you have any questions please contact us using the e mail address below.

Mini Induction Day – September 4th 2020

Message from your Head of Year – Mrs Jansen

“I’d like to introduce myself as your Head of Year. You’ll get to know me and the rest of the Year 7 team, especially your tutor, very well when you start at The Gryphon. Our number one priority will be helping you to settle in. I imagine that you’re feeling both excited and nervous about starting secondary school in September, and both feelings are completely normal.

Year 6 students sometimes say that they are worried about making friends, doing homework or finding their way around school, but there’s no need to worry. Your tutor, teachers and I will help you with all of these things. Year 7 Gryphon students often say that they really enjoy their lessons and getting involved in all of the fantastic clubs; I can’t wait to see you making the most of these opportunities. I look forward to meeting you all in September and welcoming you into our school community”.
