Gryphon School PTA Quiz Night

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The Gryphon School values highly its good relationship with parents.  We have an established PTA to co-ordinate social activities and other parent information evenings – all offers of support for the PTA are gratefully received. This is not a fundraising PTA. If you would like to contact the PTA please leave a message at the school reception.

Parent Communication

We continue to hold our Parent Forums, one per year group per year to discuss issues of direct concern to the year and to allow an open forum for general questions.  The meetings start with a presentation on an item of particular interest to the year group and end with an open question / answer session.  The dates for these meetings are published on the calendar that comes home at the beginning of the Autumn Term. This year the topics have been Y7: Target Setting, Y8: Go For It, Y9: Options, Y10: Work Experience and Y11: Study Skills.  If you have ideas for topics that you would like to be covered please contact Nicki Edwards (Deputy Headteacher) at the school.

The Samee Project is a unique and inspirational social enterprise that aims to promote self-employment and freelance working as viable career options to young people in school education.

Chris Wilkinson will be on the stand to talk to students and parents – he was awarded an MBE for his services to the Police. He is also an Animal behaviourist and dog trainer and a Patron of the SAMEE Charity.
