Poetry by Heart
Some of our Year 7 and 8 students visited the Globe Theatre, London on Monday. A group of finalists from our Poetry by Heart competition were lucky enough to travel to London and watch the Poetry By Heart Grand Finale.
Students were treated to performances from poets, Matt Goodfellow and Kate Wakeling, as well as inspirational performances by young people from KS2 to KS5 and even some lucky teachers performed!
We enjoyed lunch with the pigeons by the Thames and took in the sights of St Pauls and The Tate from the Millennium bridge.
It was truly an experience that will stay with our students for some time to come and hopefully inspire some of them to try out for next year’s competition!
