Young Enterprise

The Gryphon School is delighted to be joining the Young Enterprise programme this year. Young Enterprise gives our students a practical, inspiring way to develop enterprise skills, creativity and confidence outside the classroom.

What the programme involves:

• Students will work in teams to create their own business ideas, developing products or services from concept to pitch.
• A programme of workshops and mentoring will support pupils at each stage: idea generation, market research, budgeting, branding, sales and presentation skills.
• Pupils will take part in collaborative tasks and real-world challenges, gaining hands-on experience of entrepreneurship and teamwork.

Launch Pad workshop – Year 9 highlights
Year 9 pupils have already taken part in the Launch Pad workshop run by Young Enterprise. We are grateful to Carly and the team of volunteers who delivered an inspiring, high-energy session in school.

Highlights from the day:

• Excellent teamwork and communication as pupils formed groups and worked through business challenges.
• Strong displays of entrepreneurial thinking — creativity, problem solving and resilience.
• Practical skills showcased included pitch preparation, idea refinement and basic budgeting.

Next steps for pupils
Year 9 pupils who took part in Launch Pad will be invited to continue with team development and next-stage activities.
