Sixth Form

The Gryphon Sixth Form is a large, successful and vibrant community of around 400 students, many of whom are welcomed from neighbouring state and independent schools across North and West Dorset and South Somerset.

Our Sixth Formers aim high and our ability to empower them to achieve is embedded in our ethos. We offer our students a highly caring and supportive community which generates our exceptional examination results and bright futures.

Our Outstanding Sixth Form offers a wide variety of courses and subject options, enabling students to pursue their passions, interests and career aspirations. The enthusiasm, innovation and commitment of our teaching and pastoral staff helps to challenge and support every individual so that students are empowered to learn.

Students enjoy more freedom through which we develop the important life skills of time management, research and planning that will allow them to be successful in their immediate and long term futures. To help them, all students have a Personal Tutor to offer guidance and support throughout their studies, along with additional help from their Head of Year, Head of Sixth Form and friendly subject staff.
