At the Gryphon School everything we do is rooted in the Biblical teaching of John 10:10 – we aim for all students, staff, parents and members of our community to experience life in its fullness. We understand that, as the John 10 teachers, Jesus is ‘the good shepherd’ and that through his knowledge of his sheep he guides them to life in its fullness. In this way we aim to be shepherds of our flock guiding all of our community to have life to the full. We are passionate about being the cornerstone of our community and community partnership is at the heart of living life in its fullness for students, parents and staff.
Living life in all of its fullness is at the very heart of everything we do. We want to create opportunities within our school for all students to flourish, both academically and spiritually.
We are a Community school serving the needs of Sherborne and the many surrounding villages. As a school that serves a wide community of all faiths and no faith we have developed our LIFE values – the values that support students in school to live life to the full. These were developed through work with local church leadership and students with the goal of allowing all students to experience LIFE in an inclusive and invitational way. These LIFE values are: Leadership, Integrity, Fellowship and Exploration.
Our 4 LIFE values exemplify what it means to live life in its fullness at The Gryphon School.
To explore how we do this we asked staff and students to share what LIFE looks like across the school. You can view this here:
