We were delighted to welcome back ex-student Colette in to school. Colette is in her second year at Brunel University studying Journalism, which she absolutely loves. She came in to school to complete some filming of Year 13 students for a university assignment titled ‘Should we teach Life Skills in school?’, which set up a heated debate between the students who volunteered to be part of the film. Through her university course and contacts in London, Colette has been able to gain work experience at Capital, which owns radio stations such as Heart and Radio X, she is a presenter on the university radio station, and has worked on various radio adverts. Colette was also asked to report on the opening of Primark in Uxbridge, her first official press job, this summer, which was an amazing experience. We have no doubt that Colette is going places in the world of Journalism and will make her mark in this area in the coming years.
